Rachel Jane - Lead Vocals
Rachel joined The Hurricane in January 2001. Her strong vocal ability
ranges from soft & sweet to rich and powerful. She has performed extensively
as a soloist with various choral groups and bands in the Denver metro
area. Vocal influences include Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James
and Rickie Lee Jones.
Willie Allemang - Drums and Vocals
AKA “The Groove Monster”. He says Ringo gave him the inspiration
but the “STAX/Volt Revues” taught him the groove and gave
Willie the ability to work with many labeled artists over the years that
have contributed to his versatility and rounded his experience. From doing
shows with The Massey Brothers, Leslie West and Waylon Jennings, to playing
festivals in Tulsa or casinos in Reno/Lake Tahoe, rock solid drumming
is what Willie is all about.
K. Jay Gale – Guitar, Slide Guitar, Vocals
“T-bird” (as we call him) hails from Detroit and has played
guitar since he was 14 years old. He was weaned on the Motown Sound and
grew up listening to and playing “Detroit Spirited” Rock-n-Roll.
Jay came to Denver in the mid-seventies and played in several “Country
Rock” road bands throughout the west and playing shows with Asleep
At The Wheel, Bobby Bare and Jerry Jeff Walker. Over the past several
years, Jay has returned to his musical roots in the blues and classic
R&B and has been “makin’ ‘em holler” all over
the Denver area.
J.D. Hash – Guitar & Vocals
Born in West Virginia, he got his first acoustic guitar when he was 10
years old. His influences include the likes of Billy Gibbons, Eric Clapton,
and ZZ Top. With over 20 years of National and International experience,
JD mixes well with all styles of music. He's cut 3 albums with Jealous
Saints, another with The Red Rock Roosters and is a well respected local
studio musician. J.D. adds an energetic rock sound to the Hurricane along
with exceptional back up and lead vocals.
Tim Kohler – Bass & Vocals
Tim's playing experience has taken him to all corners of the earth opening
for everyone from Foghat to Tower of Power. He's one of those guys that
toured more than he was home. He says he has too many musical influences
to mention but is a Jaco Pastorious freak. Whoever those influences were,
Tim's as solid a bass player as you will find. He’s also a charter
member of the “Rhythm Roosters”!
